Spirit of America
Michigan International Speedway is pleased to announce it will continue its tradition of the Spirit of America blood drive on Friday, September 11. The annual blood drive at the racetrack began as a tribute in 2002 in honor of the victims and heroes of 9-11.

Obstacle course style races are popular among adults. Now, children get their opportunity to compete in the Art Moehn Chevrolet Childrenz Challenge presented by AOS, RW Mercer and Kelly Experss Marts on Saturday, August 22. The course, built for accomplishment, not punishment will feature 13 obstacles and finish with a 100-foot slip-n-slide. Children ages 4-8 years old will compete on a 1.5-mile course while children 9-13 will traverse a two-mile course.
Big Mitten Fair
Celebrate Americana at the Big Mitten Fair at Michigan International Speedway during Labor Day weekend in 2015. Prepare yourself for five great days of festivities highlighted by midways at both the Big Mitten Way and Kids Go Zone presented by Big Rock Amusements. The fair on September 3- 7, will introduce festival goers to the opportunities available in the skills and trades.
Michigan International Speedway has been chosen to be the state’s host venue for Tough Mudder in 2015, a hardcore, 12-mile obstacle course designed by British Special Forces to test strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. The Tough Mudder event will take place Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27, at Michigan International Speedway.
Charity Track & Toy Drive
The Charity Track & Toy Drive is on Saturday, December 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donate a non-perishable food item or a new, unwrapped toy and take a lap around the track in your own vehicle. The event helps the Brooklyn Food Bank, Toys for Tots and MIS Cares. Photos with Santa for $10 available. Refreshments provided by Americrown and MIS Cares will be available. Weather permitting, no motorcycles.
Driving schools give fans the opportunity to drive actual stock cars around the two-mile Irish Hills oval at top speeds or just take a two-lap ride with a professional driver around the track.
Faster Horses Festival
The Faster Horses Festival returns to the Irish Hills in 2015 at Michigan International Speedway on July 17-19. Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will lead the hard hitting lineup along with top acts Frankie Ballard, Kristian Bush, Mark Chesnutt, Craig Wayne Boyd, Lee Brice, Clare Dunn, Mickey Guyton, Tracy Lawrence, Lonestar, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore, RaeLynn, The Cadillac Three, Thomas Rhett and Dwight Yoakam. The festival is set to be a prime summer event featuring two stages, nine campgrounds, late night jam sessions, food trucks, water slides and more to highlight the unique summer lifestyle experience in the area. Fans can even camp at the speedway.
Michigan Wine and Beer Fest
It's the toast of Michigan! On Saturday, May 9, 2015, MIS will play host to wineries and breweries from all over the state. Sip, swirl and savor the great wine and beers the Michigan Wine and Beer Fest has to offer!
Formula SAE is an educational competition that challenges university undergraduate and graduate engineering students to design, build and compete in scaled-down, Formula-style autocross race cars.
Michigan Kart Club
The Michigan Kart Club hosted a go kart road race at Michigan International Speedway on Sept. 18-20, 2015. The MKC had more than 300 entrants from as far away as Texas and Oklahoma a year ago.
Make A Wish
The Wish-A-Mile 300 Bicycle Tour, or WAM as it is affectionately known by riders, is a three-day tour through Michigan and will be hosted at Michigan International Speedway this year on July 23-26.
