MIS was honored with the “Promoter of the Year” award by the Michigan Auto Racing Fan Club on Saturday night at the DeCarlo’s Banquet Center in Warren, Mich. Curtis accepted the award on behalf of the speedway in front of over 450 in attendance at the 45th annual event.

  • Dick Trajnowski Roger Curtis statement on the passing of Dick Trajnowski
    Dick Trajnowski won several state and national awards for sports writing while at the Jackson Citizen Patriot. He covered every race weekend at MIS from the track in 1968, including the ground-breaking for the track’s construction, through his retirement in 1997. Trajnowski passed away last weekend at the age of 74.
