MIS to host Racing for Network Chamber Day on June 12
With Michigan unemployment at double digits, Michigan International Speedway is teaming with South Central Michigan Works and area Chamber of Commerce organizations to host Racing to Network Chamber Day on Friday, June 12.
This unique networking opportunity will take place during Gatorade Qualifying Day for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LifeLock 400 at MIS and promises to be the biggest state networking event of the year.
Guests will network with business leaders from across the state while attending qualifying day events for the LifeLock 400, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA RE/MAX Series Racing for Wildlife 200 events at MIS during Racing to Network Chamber Day.
“I can think of no better venue for a business networking event than Michigan International Speedway,” speedway President Roger Curtis said. “The business of motorsports is a large one and this will be an excellent opportunity for business professionals to see it and experience it firsthand.”

In the mid-70’s, Czarnecki also held the title of president of Michigan International Speedway. In subsequent years, he was president of Penske Speedways which owned five major racing facilities (including MIS) in the U.S. Penske Speedways became a publicly traded company in 1996 and he was its vice chairman.
“We appreciate Mr. Czarnecki speaking at our Chamber Day event,” Curtis said. “Mr. Czarnecki has had a proud and successful history serving in the motorsports industry, including as former president of MIS. His knowledge of the business and what it means to the state of Michigan and its economy is unparalleled.”
