Elizabeth Brown of Liberty Center, Ohio has been picked as the Week 11 winner of Michigan International Speedway President Roger’s Curtis’ fantasy pick ‘em contest.
Brown was one of 27 fans to correctly select Denny Hamlin as the winner of the race at Darlington and will receive an MIS lunchbox.
Brown and the 26 other fans will be automatically entered for the grand prize drawing at the end of the season for two Victory Lane Club passes for the 2011 season, a $1,200 value.
Curtis picked Jeff Gordon, who finished fourth in the race.
Overall, week 11 of the contest saw Jeff Gordon as the most popular pick of the weekend with 73 selections. Jimmie Johnson was the second-most picked driver with 32.
“Jeff Gordon was so good all night! I thought I had this week’s pick correct,” Curtis said. “Great job to Elizabeth and the other 26 fans who picked Denny Hamlin. He’s having a great season so far.”
MIS is hosting its weekly NASCAR pick ‘em contest at MISpeedway.com/rogerpickem. Curtis also makes his selection on the website and discussed why he selected his driver on a weekly podcast.
All picks for the contest must be entered one hour prior to the start of each race. The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada. Fans may also make their selection each week by mailing a 3 x 5 card with their pick and race name to Michigan International Speedway, 12626 U.S. 12, Brooklyn, MI 49230. All cards must be postmarked prior to the event date.
