Networking event coming Friday
In these challenging economic times, it is more important than ever for business owners to network and build relationships. To assist in this process, Michigan International Speedway (MIS) is teaming with Office Depot, the Official Office Products Partner of NASCAR®, and area Chamber of Commerce organizations to host a Michigan Chamber Day driven by Office Depot on Friday, August 13.
This unique networking opportunity will take place during Meijer Pole Day for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series™ CARFAX 400 at MIS and promises to be one of the biggest state networking events of the year.
“Office Depot is proud to partner with Michigan International Speedway on this outstanding Chamber Day event,” said Bill Maher, Vice President of Private Sector and Global Accounts for the Business Solutions Division of Office Depot. “Office Depot has a long history of taking care of business for thousands of small and medium-sized businesses in Michigan, and we’re excited to bring so many business owners together for an opportunity to network with each other.”
Guests will network with business leaders from across the state while attending qualifying day events for the CARFAX 400. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit MIS’ charitable arm – MIS Cares.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in MIS’ Acceleration Club presented by Budweiser. The cost is $35 per ticket with $5 of each purchase benefiting MIS Cares.
Each package will include one grandstand ticket for Sprint Cup Series qualifying and practice, complimentary lunch, free parking and a Q&A session with NASCAR star Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 U.S. Army/Tornados/Haas Automation Chevy. Office Depot sponsors the No. 14 Chevy piloted by two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart, who is Newman’s boss and teammate at Stewart-Haas Racing.
“As a business owner myself, I know how challenging it is to build a successful business and the hard work that it takes,” Newman said. “Networking is important no matter what your business, and the Office Depot Chamber Day is a great way for area business leaders to get together.”
All Chamber Day participants must be 18 or older and wear business casual clothing.
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie.
