Keeping it localShare
“Keeping it local” is something Michigan International Speedway takes great pride in, which is why a new partnership with Jackson, Mich.-based CP Federal Credit Union is just the ticket for the 2011 season.
MIS and CP Federal Credit Union have announced that the Credit Union will be the presenting sponsor of the speedway’s Champions Club for the 2011 season, keeping the sponsorship dollars in a community that both local businesses call home.
“We appreciate CP Federal Credit Union and their choice to sponsor our Champions Club for the 2011 season,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “Anytime a local business like CP Federal Credit Union finds value in a relationship with MIS, it says a lot for what our local community businesses think about our speedway and the kind of return on investment they are looking for with their sponsorship dollars. CP Federal Credit Union is a great local partner for us and we appreciate their support.”
MIS and CP Federal Credit Union have had a relationship for the last several years with many of their employees working in the Champions Club after it was constructed in 2005. The partnership now gives the Credit Union an even greater presence in the club with signage, tickets and other benefits.
“We see so much value in this local partnership. It means a lot to all of us here at CP Federal Credit Union to be able to partner with MIS and have a local presence at the track,” CP Federal Credit Union President and CEO John Crist said. “MIS is a tremendous facility right in Jackson’s backyard and we appreciate the opportunity to work with them.”
The MIS Champions Club presented by CP Federal Credit Union gives race fans a unique race experience in the tower high above the start-finish line. For a weekend price of $490 (Friday-Sunday), fans receive a Champions Club credential, pre-race pit pass, unlimited food, an outdoor individual 20-inch stadium seat at the start-finish line, access to the air-conditioned lounge and entertainment area, private restrooms and a parking pass.
The Champions Club went through some small renovations in the offseason, which opened up the floor plan of the club tremendously, giving it a more spacious feel.
“The Champions Club is a great way to watch a race at MIS,” Curtis said. “If you were to purchase all of the seats in the center grandstands, right below the club, and the amenities that the club has to offer individually, you truly are not spending much more to have a great experience in our Champions Club. We’ve made some small renovations in the club this offseason, which has opened it up and will give fans more space in there to have a great time.”
Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is a Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where race fans and sports fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the fun of NASCAR and the thrill of a great time for guests and drivers alike.
