MI Fest rocks Michigan International SpeedwayShare
The first-ever MI Fest, held at Michigan International Speedway, brought out thousands of fans to witness a full day of live music featuring 17 total bands on two stages during the nearly 12-hour concert festival.
Headlining MI Fest was The Raconteurs (featuring Detroit native Jack White), Sheryl Crow and Ronnie Dunn, along with 14 other groups, many of them from Michigan.
“It was a great day and hopefully something we can build on for the future,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “It was nice to see all of the fans having a great time, as well as the bands that were here.”
Joining The Raconteurs, Crow and Dunn on the MI Fest stage throughout the day were the Ben Daniels Band, Mitch Ryder, Wendy Starland, Jeff Daniels, Mark Farner and The Romantics.
On the second Grandee Stage, Shockwave, The Thornbills, Black Belles, Pujol, Black Milk, Jeff the Brotherhood, Ty Stone and The Rockets performed throughout the day.
The event also featured many local food and merchandise vendors.
