Test Drive a new Ford Vehicle and support MIS Cares
Now is your opportunity to drive the interior road course at Michigan International Speedway in a brand new Ford Vehicle and support MIS Cares in the process. MIS and Brooklyn Ford are teaming up to support the Drive 4 UR Community Program sponsored by Ford Motor Company.
MIS will become a temporary satellite branch of Brooklyn Ford on Monday, Oct. 15. The dealership will have all of the latest vehicles on-site and will provide an opportunity for guests to get in the driver’s seat.
If you are in the market for a new vehicle or just want to test all the latest technology in auto manufacturing, this event is for you. And the best part is everybody who gets behind the wheel will help to support MIS Cares at the same time.
Guests are invited to come to MIS on Monday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. to test drive a Ford vehicle. For every driver who tests drive a vehicle, MIS Cares will receive $20 from Ford Motor Company. While each eligible family member may drive in the event, the donation is limited to one per household.
Now is your opportunity to drive on the repaved road course and see a different perspective of the fastest track in NASCAR. The interior road course begins at the start/finish line on the two-mile oval and enters the infield off of Turn 1. It winds through the infield before entering back onto the oval by Turn 3 and ending at the start/finish line.
MIS Cares is the big winner in the Drive 4 UR Community Program thanks to the support of the Ford Motor Company.
Patrons are asked to use the entrance off of Brooklyn Highway and proceed to the Michigan Room located in the Infield Suites Building. Each participant will be required to sign a liability waiver and must be 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
MIS Cares is a Donor Advised Fund of the NASCAR Foundation, a 501c3 charitable entity that focuses on raising funds for various local charitable causes the speedway supports. MIS Cares in 2011 alone awarded $75,000 in cash donations to local charities through its grant program. Another $50,000 was awarded through sponsorships and tickets those groups raffle off, also to raise money.
Ford Motor Company and its dealers have launched a new program called Drive 4 UR Community, which is designed to help raise funding for local community groups and nonprofit organizations. For each Drive 4 UR Community event, Ford dealers will team up with a local nonprofit organization to schedule a test drive fundraising event. The dealers will provide the cars to be test-driven and work together with the nonprofit groups to organize and publicize the event. For every valid test drive completed, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the participating nonprofit or community group, up to a maximum of $6,000.
