Three truckloads collected at MIS Charity Track and Toy DriveShare
The holiday spirit made a stop at Michigan International Speedway on Saturday as the track hosted its fourth annual Charity Track and Toy Drive. Guests were invited to donate a nonperishable food item to the CCIS Food Pantry in Brooklyn, Mich. or a toy to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots. In return, guests were able to take a lap around the fastest track in NASCAR in their personable automobiles. It was a day for the entire family as children could have their picture taken on Santa’s lap for $5 from Portraits from Conway. The overwhelming support from fans near and far allowed the track to fill a 15-foot truck twice with food for the CCIS Food Pantry and a 26-foot truck with items for Toys for Tots. Jackie Cooper, project manger/MIS Cares, begins to sort through all the toys donated.
