Select the race winner in the MIS Fantasy Pick ‘Em contestShare
Think you can pick the winner of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races? Now is your opportunity to test your skill in the Michigan International Speedway Fantasy Pick ‘em contest.
Beginning today, MIS will host its free weekly NASCAR Pick ‘Em contest at www.MISpeedway.com/fantasypickem.
Fans also have the opportunity to enter the contest via facebook in 2013 by visiting www.facebook.com/MISpeedway and selecting the contest tab. Then follow the directions provided to complete the entry form and submit an entry.
Fans will have the chance to make a weekly selection on who they think will win that weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, beginning with this weekend’s Daytona 500. Special guests may even try their hand from time to time.
“It has been a lot of fun to watch the fantasy pick ‘em contest continue to grow,” Curtis said. “In 2013, we are excited to make it easier for fans to share their picks on facebook and enhance the interaction. The best part is we will be giving away weekly prizes during the entire season and we have built one pretty special grand prize for one lucky fan.”
The 2012 season featured a championship battle right down to the final race as Rochester Hills, Mich. native Brad Keselowski became the first Michigan-born driver to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship. He tied for the series lead with five victories a year ago and held off five-time champion Jimmie Johnson for the title.
The Gen-6 car makes its debut in 2013 at the Daytona International Speedway. The reviews have been impressive from the drivers and fans alike after the Budweiser Speedweeks. The Gen-6 cars look very close to their manufacturers’ street car models – Ford Fusion, Chevy SS and Toyota Camry. And driver feedback in winter testing was overwhelmingly positive for exciting, edge-of-your-seat thrills.
All fans that correctly pick the winning driver that week will be posted on MISpeedway.com/fantasypickem. Each week a fan will be selected from the group that correctly picked the winner and sent a prize from MIS.
Additionally all fans who pick the winner each week during the season will be automatically entered into a drawing at the end of the year to win the grand prize package of four (4) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tickets (either June or August), four (4) Saturday tickets, four (4) pre-race pit passes, four (4) cold garage passes, access to Gatorade Victory Lane following the Sunday Sprint Cup Series race and four pre-race ceremony passes for Sunday for the 2014 season at MIS.
All picks for the contest must be entered by 5 p.m. on the Friday preceding the event. The contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada. Fans may also make their selection each week by mailing a 3x5 card with their pick and race name to Michigan International Speedway, 12626 U.S. 12, Brooklyn, MI 49230.
In 2012, thousands of MIS fans played the contest with more than 1,000 correctly selecting a winning driver over the 36-week season.
Jennifer Stephens of Bloomington, Ind., was randomly selected as the grand prize winner of four (4) NASCAR Sprint Cup Series tickets (either June or August), four (4) Saturday tickets, four (4) pre-race pit passes, four (4) cold garage passes and access to Gatorade Victory Lane following the Sunday Sprint Cup Series.
