Calling all young artists to design the holiday card
Now is the time for all children to show off their artistic skills in the Holiday Card Kids Club Coloring Contest. Michigan International Speedway is inviting all youth to submit a design for the track’s 2013 holiday card.
The winner will have their artwork featured on the MIS holiday e-card that is sent to race fans around the world. And your name will even be displayed with the design.
And we have helped to get you started. You can download the official template and rules at www.miskidsclub.com/coloring.
“We have a lot of creative youth who are fans of NASCAR,” MIS President Roger Curtis said. “I am excited to see the entries and what the children design. It will be special to have the winning artwork sent to all of our fans.”
Now is your chance to design your favorite holiday card. What a better way to get in the holiday spirit than drawing a photo.
The designs will be judged on creativity and the tie between the holidays and MIS. The color picture needs to fit a predetermined space that incorporates the MIS logo and Happy Holidays. A panel of judges will pick the winner.
All children who are 12 years or under are eligible to enter the Holiday Card Kids Club Coloring Contest. The artists can use a wide range of creativity to make their entry the winning selection.
All entries must be postmarked by Nov. 27 and received by Dec. 3. The entries can be mailed to Michigan International Speedway.
The track has prided itself in making the race a family affair and the New Holland Fan Plaza allows youth of all ages to learn about the sport of NASCAR as well as enjoy activities in the Kids Zone.
MIS has offered several ticket packages in addition to its kids 12 and under free seating program. These have been instrumental in the increase of youth coming with their families to the racetrack.
The track has several ticket packages available for families of any size to enjoy a weekend of racing. The Jimmie Johnson Experience gets you one adult ticket and one kids 12 and under ticket for Sunday, access to Johnson’s Q&A and a one-day scanner rental. You can celebrate Father’s Day at MIS with Danica Patrick’s Father’s Day Getaway. This family package includes two adult tickets and two kids 12 and under tickets for the Quicken Loans 400, special access to a Patrick Q&A and a $20 souvenir voucher.
The Walmart Family Four Pack is always great. You will receive four Sunday tickets, four hotdogs and four Coca-Colas.
Youth ages 13-16 are half price all weekend. In addition, MIS is offering a pre-race pit and paddock pass for youth 16 and under in 2014.
