Three Men and a Tenor to sing national anthems at FireKeepers Casino 400Share
The Michigan a cappella vocal group Three Men and a Tenor will sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” during pre-race ceremonies for the FireKeepers Casino 400 on June 12 at Michigan International Speedway.
In addition, the group will sing “O, Canada,” keeping with MIS tradition in recognizing its Canadian guests.
The FireKeepers Casino 400 is scheduled for 1 p.m. on June 12. Pre-race and driver introductions will begin at 12:25 p.m.
“We are very excited to have Three Men and a Tenor sing the national anthems for the United States and Canada for the FireKeepers Casino 400,” said MIS President Roger Curtis. “The group has been entertaining audiences for close to 25 years, and we have absolutely no doubt they will deliver a wonderful and patriotic performance in honoring our country, as well as a warm welcome to our Canadian visitors.”
Three Men and a Tenor is comprised of Paul Felch (bass), Chuck Colby (lead), Mark Stiles (lead) and Glenn Williams (tenor). The group was recently honored as The Best Entertainment in Michigan for 2016 as voted by readers of the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine. It marked the third time the group has won the award.
Fans will want to be in their seats for Three Men and a Tenor’s pleasing and straightforward version of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Three Men and a Tenor has performed the national anthem at U.S. Military Bases in Germany, the Breslin Center for Michigan State basketball games, the Palace of Auburn Hills and many other places.
This Michigan based group has been boasting the same original founding members for over 20 years. That is a big accomplishment for any sized group in the music industry. Touring full-time all around Michigan since 1995, Three Men and a Tenor has brought touching musical talent and friendly humor to an estimated two-million people through either TV viewing or in live performances. Considered ‘therapy’ for the members and audiences alike, people can’t help but enjoy the offerings of this a cappella band through a couple hours of musical interaction and laughter.
