Nite Lites at Michigan International Speedway coming to lifeShare
Guests will soon be amazed when they drive through the three-mile Nite Lites display at Michigan International Speedway. Guests will view all of the lights right from the comfort of their vehicles while listening to holiday music.
In 2017, Nite Lites is expanding to a three-mile show after entertaining guests for 20 years with a 1.5-mile display. The longer show will include 500,000 more lights, 12 additional displays and four more tunnels for guests to enjoy.
The lighting display will be open for cars beginning on Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m. It will remain open every day until Dec. 31. Nite Lites will be open from 5:30 – 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 – 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The cost is $20 per car. All veterans and active military personal are admitted free on Dec. 7.
“It has been fun to watch all the displays be built throughout our property and we are excited to watch it all come to life,” track President Rick Brenner said. “This is a special time of the year for families and now they can experience it at MIS. This is a great community event that brings people to the Irish Hills and we look forward to hosting it at Michigan International Speedway for many years to come.”
The popular Nite Lites entry way will greet guests as they enter the display. In 2017, Nite Lites will feature 65 different themes, a 250-foot lighted tunnel, six 30-foot mega trees and three 20-foot mega trees. In addition, the crew continues to build their own displays to keep guests coming back.
“Nite Lites is proud to be lighting up the infield at Michigan International Speedway this winter,” said John Spink, Nite Lites Owner and Operator. “We have worked hard this year to make the display three miles of magical experiences for the guests. We take pride in making this can’t miss family event.”
On Dec. 1-3, 8-10, 15-17 and 22-23 the Winter Wonderland display will be open from 6 – 9 p.m. Children can tell Santa their Christmas list and take a free train ride from 6 – 8:30 p.m. There will be crafts and concessions to enjoy before going through the display.
