With the success of 2011, two of Michigan’s best-known brands – Michigan International Speedway and Pure Michigan – are again teaming up to host the Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at MIS on Sunday, August 19.

Michigan International Speedway has been named Track of the Year by The NASCAR Foundation for its charitable and community efforts.

Canadian Brian Reid wins Race to Vegas contest!
MIS' Race to Vegas contest has stretched across the country over the past two years, now it’s made a run for the border. Canadian Brian Reid, 48, an MIS ticketholder since 2004 from Tecumseh, Ontario, was randomly selected as this year’s Race to Vegas contest winner.

Take a lap around newly paved MIS for charity on Nov. 19!
For the third consecutive year, MIS and its non-profit arm, MIS Cares, will collect goods to benefit two local charities by hosting a lap around the racetrack from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, weather dependent. Guests may take a lap in their personal automobiles around the newly paved two-mile oval in exchange for a new, unwrapped toy or bag of nonperishable food that will be donated to the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots, the CCIS Food Pantry in Brooklyn, Mich., and St. Mary’s Food Pantry in Adrian, Mich., respectively.
