Reuter’s name and picture will adorn the area above the passenger side window of Kyle Busch’s No. 18 Traxxas Tundra for the VFW 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race Saturday, Aug. 20 and he will have the opportunity to attend the race with three guests compliments of Michigan International Speedway.

A motivational letter that Kyle Busch received during the off season from Kyle Savoie, a 12-year-old fan, has inspired Busch to develop a program that will recognize children for experiences and achievements that had a positive effect on their lives. The “Riding Shotgun with Kyle Busch Motorsports” Essay Contest will allow one child, age 5 to 12, to have a decal with their name and 2.5” x 3.5” photo above the passenger window of Busch’s No. 18 truck for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series VFW 200 at MIS on Saturday, August 20.

NASCAR champions crowned

NASCAR crowned its 2008 champions on November 14-16, which included Craftsman Truck Series winner Johnny Benson of Grand Rapids, Mich. Benson is the first Michigan native to win a NASCAR series championship since Jack Sprague (Spring Lake, Mich.) won the truck title in 2001.
