What is the MIS Fan Appreciation Program?
Michigan International Speedway’s Fan Appreciation Program began in 2008 when the speedway’s president, Roger Curtis, and staff members wanted to make bigger strides in giving back to its race fans in the form of memorable experiences.
Since 2008, the track has given away thousands of these experiences, ranging from bus makeovers and taking fans to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Awards Ceremonies in Las Vegas to handing out memorable race weekend experiences through golden tickets randomly put into ticket mailings and print at home orders.
The program has received much fanfare since 2008 and the list of prizes and experiences given away continues to grow every year.
“I love our Fan Appreciation Program here. It’s one of my favorite things to talk about because taking care of our fans and giving them memorable experiences is what we are here for,” Curtis said. “Our mission is to create lasting memories for every person, every time, and our Fan Appreciation Program helps us accomplish that.”
Here are a few stories that have been written about Fan Appreciation Program experiences.
