POST-RACE QUOTES:

Denny Hamlin #20 (1st): (on playing a joke on crew chief) "I was out of gas. I made him jump on the wall, I'm sure. It happened at Indy and it wasn't so funny then. I figured I could coast anyway, even if I did run out. I have to give congratulations to Dave Rogers (crew chief). (on yesterday's accident during testing) "I definitely did not want to give these guys (crew) any more work than they already had to. I can't say enough about those guys who put the car back together even better than the way it was. I'm just happy - we just got a mile and a half-two-mile win.:

Matt Kenseth #17 (2nd): (on today's race) "I had a lot of fun racing with Denny today. We were even through the middle section of the race . I could pass him and he could pass me. We just got a little too tight towards the end. We didn't quite make the changes we needed to there. We had a good car. We'd just have liked the chance to battle them to the end. We just got too far behind on the green flag pit stop and couldn't make it up. (on track conditions) The track conditions were a lot different than yesterday. We learned a little bit about that and about air pressure adjustments."

Kevin Harvick #21 (3rd): (on today's race) "It was interesting. Our car was really loose and we got better through the day. We didn't really make it better at the beginning of the run but we did get better through the middle of race and on towards the end of run. It's been a lot of fun winning races and being competitive. (on owners' championship) That's pretty awesome to see, as much ground as everyone's (21 car and teammate 2 car) been able to make up on. To put the pressure on the 60 car is going to be fun until the end."

Greg Biffle #16 (5th): "It was a pretty uneventful race. The 3M Ford Fusion car was running really good and qualified on the pole. Fifth was not what we were looking for but we learned a lot today. We adjusted some tire pressures. We got too loose at the start and got too tight at the end. We couldn't get that balance worked out, where I could run fast at the beginning of the run and keep some speed for the end of the run. Unfortunately there at the end we lost third and a couple more spots. Overall, it was a good day.

On the final lap #88 Brad Keselowski ran out of fuel and coasted a long time, to finish 3:03.831 behind the winner, but on the lead lap. Keselowski said of the experience:

"You try to save gas as much as you can but I gave up a couple of spots trying to do that. I'm just glad we made it back. (on future) "I'd like to ride in the 88 car the rest of the year but we're still trying to work that out. We're looking for more strong runs like this. If the race fell a little different we might have had a shot at the top five. I was just glad to be representing the Navy."

Brian Keselowski #49 (33rd): "It was not bad for the first time out. We were loose at the start, but we were able to hold on and survive. We were so happy to be in the race, so I could race with my brother Brad. I want to run at Memphis and Homestead with the Busch Series and run full time with the ARCA series."
