Millions of Americans have loved ones affected by the war in Iraq, including people from Michigan. So NSK Corporation is giving military families and friends an opportunity to get out and have some fun by sponsoring the “Salute to Military Families” program at Michigan International Speedway this June.

This is NSK’s second year sponsoring tickets for military families at MIS, but first year as the sponsor of the “Salute to Military Families” program.

“The NSK sponsorship of the Salute to Military Families program will give family and friends of the military the chance to have some fun at our racetrack,” track President Roger Curtis said. “The military already has a huge presence in the sport, but NSK Corporation would like to make that presence even larger at our speedway. We appreciate the support of the program and what it means to all of our military heroes, including veterans and current military personnel here at home or fighting overseas.”
 
By sponsoring the “Salute to Military Families” program, NSK will provide 150 tickets to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series LifeLock 400 at MIS on Father’s Day, June 15. These tickets will be given to families whose lives have been altered by military duty, past and present.

We are honored to be able to share a NASCAR experience with members of the United Stated Military and appreciate their selfless contribution to our country.”

During the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend, NSK Corporation will have signage on the grandstands of MIS and participate in the speedway’s hospitality program among other benefits.

The United States military branches have a long-standing relationship with NASCAR. At one time or another, the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Coast Guard have all had involvement in the sport.
