Kevin Emison Wins August "Pick The Winner At MIS" Contest
ShareKevin Emison doesn't exactly have a history of luck when it comes to winning contests. As a matter of fact, the last prize the 48-year old resident of Mason, Mich. won in a contest was a toaster at age 12. Now he has his knowledge of NASCAR and a little luck to thank for his victory in the "Pick the Winner at MIS" contest presented by Arbor Mortgage.
Emison received a lump sum check that can pay his mortgage for an entire year by RJ Kistka, President of Arbor Mortgage, on Wednesday, August 23.
"We are so grateful. This really couldn't have come at a better time," said Emison. "We have a child in college and this time of year always presents a bit of crunch for us."
Emison, who also participates in a NASCAR Fantasy League "which I never win," said he simply picked some "hot" drivers to finish at the top of the GFS Marketplace 400 at MIS on Sunday, August 20, which was won by Matt Kenseth.
"We are delighted that Kevin won the contest. The joy that he and his wife showed when we presented the check to them was unforgettable," said Kistka.
Arbor Mortgage and MIS teamed up on the same contest in June for the 3M Performance 400 when Angie Everett of Kent City, Michigan won a check that could pay her mortgage for an entire year.
