MIS fans excited about 2011 season

For some, patience is a virtue. But for others, waiting stinks.

Michigan International Speedway ticket renewals were just shipped via US Mail three days ago, but Debbie Redell and her husband Keith couldn’t wait to renew. The Sturtevant, Wis., couple was the first to buy their tickets for 2011.

“We logged on and renewed as soon as we possibly could,” Debbie Redell said. “We’ve been long-time race fans and have visited many other tracks around the country, but along the way, MIS is the only place we now continue to go back to every year. The people that work there are wonderful and make you feel right at home. Getting in and out of the track is easy and it’s a very comfortable place to watch at race.

“No one provides a better experience for their guests than MIS does.”

The Redells purchase tickets for June and August race weekends at MIS using the track’s payment plan option.

“It’s better for us and spreads the payments out to make it a bit more affordable for our budget,” Debbie said of the payment plan.

Under MIS’ flexible payment plan, guests can choose when and how much to pay. With just 10 percent down, guests are free to pay as they choose.

And with their renewal, they are automatically entered in the track’s Race to Vegas contest, which will give a winner a trip to Las Vegas to attend the NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Banquet with MIS President Roger Curtis on December 3. All renewal and deposit customers are automatically entered with the contest winner being announced following the November 16 renewal deadline.

“Taking an MIS fan and their guest to Las Vegas for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Awards Banquet is a lot of fun,” Curtis said. “It gives fans the opportunity to receive a once-in-a-lifetime experience to attend the banquet and see the long-time NASCAR tradition first hand. I’m excited to see who we pick from our 2011 renewal and deposit customers.”

Deposits are also being accepted for fans who weren’t at MIS in 2010. A $30 deposit ensures the best prices for 2011 and gets you in line for great seats following the renewal period.

Tammy Fall of Glennie, Mich., was the first to put a down-payment on her June and August infield campsites for 2011. Fall didn’t want to wait until October to receive the renewal for her infield campsite. The $30 she placed the Monday after the August race will be a down-payment for her renewal, ensuring she gets the best prices for next season.

“I placed a down-payment on our way home from the August event because I wanted to make sure I was going to be back in 2011,” Fall said. “We make both weekends a family event in the infield. Our college-aged daughters Bobbie and Shauna come with us, but Shauna only makes the June race because she travels here from South Carolina. It’s a great experience and we can’t wait to come back and camp in the infield next summer.”

Nestled in the lush Irish Hills of Southeastern Michigan, Michigan International Speedway is the Great Escape, a venerable NASCAR national park where fans can get away and enjoy the very best in racing and camaraderie. It’s the love of racing and the thrill of a great time for race fans and drivers alike.

The best, guaranteed lowest prices in 2011 will go to renewal customers and new customers who make a $30 goodwill deposit. Renewals are under way for 2010 ticket holders. New customers can log onto www.MISpeedway.com or call 800-354-1010 to leave a deposit. That deposit ensures race fans get the best pricing for 2011.
