As a result of the Coronavirus’ continued impact on our nation, we have taken actions to protect the safety of our fans, competitors and the sport’s stakeholders. As announced, the events at Michigan International Speedway scheduled for June 5-7, 2020 have been postponed. At this time, the rescheduled date has not been determined.
Tickets for the June 5-7, 2020 events will be honored on the rescheduled event date, and no further action is necessary if you plan to attend on the new event date. Alternatively, ticketholders may elect to receive a credit for the full amount paid plus an additional 20% of total amount paid to apply towards a different future event, including, but not limited to, grandstand seating, infield, camping, fan hospitality, pit/driver introduction pass and garage experience ticket types. The 120% event credit can be used in a single transaction during the remainder of the 2020 season and entire 2021 season for a NASCAR sanctioned event at any NASCAR-owned track other than the 2020 Michigan race on the rescheduled event date, subject to availability.
Elections must be submitted within 30 days following the release of the rescheduled event date.
Q: What date will the postponed June 2020 Michigan International Speedway event be scheduled for?
A. NASCAR along with track officials are currently reviewing the event schedule and will announce a new date as soon as possible
Q: If I’m unable to attend the rescheduled date what are my other options?
A. We are happy to offer ticketholders an event credit towards a future NASCAR sanctioned event at any NASCAR-owned track. Event credits will be in the amount paid for all admissions including, but not limited to, grandstand seating, camping, fan hospitality and pit/driver introduction pass, plus an additional 20% credit on top of your paid amount. If fans are unable to attend another event in 2020 or 2021 we will accept requests for refunds. Event credits or refund requests must be submitted within 30 days following the rescheduled event date announcement.
Q: What do I need to do to get an event credit towards 2020 or 2021 events?
A. Complete the event credit form to select the new event in 2020 or 2021 that you wish to attend, subject to availability. A ticket representative will contact you to assist with your event selection.
Q: At what other tracks can I use the event credit?
A. Ticketholders may use the 120% credit toward a future 2020 or 2021 NASCAR-sanctioned event at any NASCAR-owned track, subject to availability, with the exception of the rescheduled 2020 Michigan International Speedway event date where ticketholders’ original tickets will be honored instead. NASCAR-owned tracks with applicable NASCAR-sanctioned races where event credits may be used include the following:

- Chicagoland Speedway (2021)
- Darlington Raceway (2020 and 2021)
- Homestead-Miami Speedway (2021)
- Kansas Speedway (2020 and 2021)
- Martinsville Speedway (2020 and 2021)
- Michigan International Speedway (2020 and 2021)
- Phoenix Raceway (2020 and 2021)
- Richmond Raceway (2020 and 2021)
- Talladega Superspeedway (2020 and 2021)
- Watkins Glen International (2021 and 2021)
Q: Will I be able to purchase the same driver package I had in 2020?
A. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee at this time the same driver package as this year. Track staff will work closely with the teams to determine driver availability and options to host a driver Q&A the following year.
Q. Can I get a refund instead of an event credit?
A. Ticketholders on file will have the option for an event credit including an additional 20% credit to a future NASCAR sanctioned event at a NASCAR-owned track for 2020 or 2021. Ticketholders requesting a refund must fill out the refund request form within 30 days following the rescheduled event announcement. All requests will be reviewed and, if approved, refunds will be made as soon as possible. Refunds could take a minimum of 60 days to show on your credit card.
Q: How will I receive my refund?
A. Refunds will be processed back to the credit card used on the original order. Refunds could take up to a minimum of 60 days to show on your credit card. If tickets were paid using another method of payment, a refund check will be issued and mailed to the ticketholder on file. Refund checks could additionally delay payment. Every effort will be made to expedite your refund.
Q: I bought tickets through another source, can I still get an event credit or refund?
A. Any future event credits or refunds will only be made to the ticketholder on file with the speedway up to 30 days following the rescheduled event announcement.
Q: Can I get an event credit for my campsite as well?
A. Any paid admission - including, but not limited to, grandstand seating, camping, fan hospitality and pit/driver introduction pass admissions - that were purchased in advance on the ticketholder’s account will be eligible for an event credit or refund.
Q: How do I get a refund for the rest of my race weekend travel?
A. Fans will need to work directly with airlines, hotels, etc. for any such possible arrangements.
Q: Does this only apply to NASCAR events?
A. No, any event sold directly by the speedway will have the same process as listed above.
