NASCAR is back in the Irish Hills June 18-20 for an action-packed weekend
BROOKLYN, MICH. (Aug. 26, 2026) – Michigan International Speedway announced today NASCAR’s return to the Irish Hills is slated for Father’s Day weekend next year, June 18-20, 2027. Race fans can see the stars of the ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series and NASCAR Cup Series during the summer while celebrating with their dads at the track.
“We had a phenomenal race weekend back in June with a sold-out crowd and it’s exciting to announce that NASCAR will be back in the Irish Hills during Father’s Day weekend in 2027,” said Joe Fowler, President of Michigan International Speedway. “Every year, we’re so honored to have our grandstands and campgrounds filled with fans to enjoy their time at Michigan International Speedway. It’s going to be a special weekend for families to enjoy all the festivities along with high-stakes racing next year.”
Below are the dates for the 2027 NASCAR races at Michigan International Speedway:
- Friday, June 18 – ARCA Menards Series Henry Ford Health 200
- Saturday, June 19 – NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 Powered by Precision Vehicle Logistics
- Sunday, June 20 – NASCAR Cup Series FireKeepers Casino 400
Back in June, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin won the FireKeepers Casino 400 for the second year in a row. Hamlin led 40 laps in the race, including the final 39 of the 200-lap race and served as Hamlin’s fourth career Cup Series win at Michigan International Speedway. Corey Heim won the DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 Powered by Precision Vehicle Logistics, which was his first ever win at Michigan International Speedway.
