GATE POLICY
We are excited that you are joining us for a fun weekend at MIS! Please use the following gates to enter our facility:
- Friday - Gates 21, 24
- Saturday - Gates 21, 24
- Sunday – Center Grandstand guests enter Gates 21, 24, 29; Turn 1 Grandstand guests enter Gate 19
PERMITTED ITEMS INCLUDE:
- A maximum of two (2) bags per person are allowed through admission gates.
- Backpacks, diaper bags, clutch bags, and fanny packs are permitted as long as they do not exceed a maximum size of 18”x18”x14”
- One soft-sided cooler per person (maximum size of 14"x14"x14" - may contain ice)
- A combination of any of the above-mentioned items will be allowed with the exception of the soft-sided coolers which will be limited to one cooler per guest
- Sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitizer, and bug spray (aerosol, gel, or liquid forms)
- Clothing/Blankets
- Ice
- Insulated cups - NO LIQUID INSIDE (maximum size of 64 oz)
- Cameras, binoculars, scanners, and headsets that can be worn over the neck, belt, or carried inside one of the bags
- iPads, tablets, and laptop computers
- Seat cushions without metal components
- Cigarettes and lighters
- Service animals
- Nationality flags attached to a pencil-sized wooden stick. Flags may not obstruct another fan's view of the racing action
PROHIBITED ITEMS INCLUDE:
- Foam or hard-sided coolers regardless of size
- Weapons (firearms, knives, etc.) and all other items restricted by Local, State, or Federal law. This includes pocket knives.
- Displays of the confederate flag
- Fireworks
- Glass or ceramic of any kind
- Dry ice
- Any bags, backpacks, or containers that are larger than the allowable size
- Laser pointers
- Noisemakers and air horns
- Aerosol cans (with the exception of sunscreen, sunblock, hand sanitizer, and bug spray)
- Selfie sticks
- Tripods and monopods that are either solid or collapsible
- Illegal substances of any kind
- Seat cushions with metal components
- Collapsible chairs
- Wagons
- Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones
- Frisbees, balloons, beach balls, or any other projectile
- Skateboards hover boards, roller skates, scooters, and bicycles
- Obscene or indecent clothing
Any other items deemed inappropriate or unsafe may be refused at the discretion of security and management. These items are subject to change without notice. There are no provisions for checking and holding items deemed restricted. Restricted items may not be left at or around the gates. Items left unattended will be removed and discarded.

Trams Service
- All guests can ride the trams by using one of the 7 tram stops during the operating hours.
- Tram Stop Locations
- Turn 1 stop - Located behind Section 57.
- Admin stop - Located in Lot 10.
- Turn 4 tram stop - Located in Turn 4 in front of the Brookfest campground.
- High Bank/Tree Farm tram stop - Located between the High Banks and Tree Farm tram stop.
- M50 Tram Stop - Located by the M50 Crossover and M50 Creekside campground.
- Graves Worker Tram Stop - Located in Lot 14.
- Graves Guest Stop
- Friday and Saturday at the Bathhouse in Graves Family Campground and Lot 14/Worker tram stop.
- Sunday we only pick up the Lot 14/Worker tram stop.
Hours of Operations
- Friday 12:00pm to 1 hour after the checked flag.
- Saturday 11:00am to 1 hour after the concert.
- Sunday 9:30am to 1 hour after the checked flag.
- In the event of severe weather, transportation service will stop service until safe to resume.
- Wheelchair transport available Friday- Sunday until 11:00pm

Parking
- Follow our inbound traffic map below to locate which parking lot you should use on the event weekend. Download the Waze App for free to correctly gain access to your destination!
Bus Parking
- Bus parking is in Lot 11.
Motorcycle Parking
- Motorcycle parking is available in Yellow Lot A and the M-50 crossover.
Overnight Parking
- Purchase overnight parking in your campground for $25 or park in the pond corner near M-50 Highway at no charge.
Fan Plaza: Champions Club, Box Office 24, Food, NASCAR merchandise, entertainment, and ticket gates)
- Brooklyn Trails campground to the center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 6-to-8-minute walk.
- Brookfest campground to the center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 6 to 8-minute walk.
- M50 Creekside campground to the center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 22 to 26-minute walk
- Tram - Use the green tram route from the M50 trams stop to the turn 4 tram stop then a 6-to-8-minute walk
- Lot 6 Parking Lot to the center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 28-to-32-minute walk
- Tram: Use the green tram route from the M50 trams stop to the turn 4 tram stop then a 6-to-8-minute walk
- High Banks Campground to the center of fan plaza.
- Walking : 18-to-22-minute walk.
- Tram: Use the green tram route from the High Banks/Tree Farm tram stop to the turn 4 tram. stop then a 6-to-8-minute walk
- Tree Farm Campground to the center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 18-22-minute walk.
- Trams: Use the green tram route from the High Banks/Tree Farm tram stops to the turn 4 tram. stop then a 6-to-8-minute walk.
- Graves Family Campground to the Center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 42-to-46 -minute walk.
- Use the red turn 1 tram route (trams), to turn 1 then a 6–to-8- minute walk.
- Use the red turn 4 tram route (buses) then a 6-to-8-minute walk.
- On Friday only the red turn 1 tram route is used.
- Turn 2 Retreat to center of fan plaza.
- Walking: 20-to -22 -minute walk
- Trams: Use the blue tram route at the admin tram stop, take the tram to turn 1 tram stop then a 6–to-8-minute walk
Pit Road Area: You can get to the Pit Road area by using one of the following options:
- Start/Finish line pedestrian tunnel, located behind Section 1, entering through any open ticket Gates.
- Front stretch gates, located on the front stretch by the start finish line.
- Gate 21 pedestrian tunnel, located between section 41 and Section 43
- Gate Admission is required to enter through any of these options.
Turn 4 Club Presented by Cabo Wabo: Located at the north end of the grandstands.
- Graves Campground
- Take the red tram 4 route (bus) to Turn 4 tram stop, then a 6-to 8-minute walk to Gate 24 to enter. On Sunday you can use Gate 29.
- Lot 6 Parking, M50 Creekside, High Banks, and Tree Farm campgrounds
- Take the green tram route (bus) to Turn 4 tram stop, then a 6-to 8-minute walk to Gate 24 to enter. On Sunday Gate 29 will be open for use.
Turn 2 Retreat, Lot 10 Parking lot:
- Using the turn 4 tram stop.
- Take the yellow tram from the admin tram stop to the M50 tram stop. Transfer to the green tram route taking it to the turn 4 tram stop, then a 6-to 8-minute walk to Gate 24 to enter. On Sunday you can use Gate 29.
- Using the turn 1 tram stop.
- Take the blue tram from the admin tram stop to turn 1 tram stop. Then a 12-to-15-minute walk to Gate 24 to enter. On Sunday you can use Gate 29.
ADA Guest Service
ADA service is available for any ADA guest, plus 1 extra person.
ADA Cart pick up Locations
- At any guest service information booths
- Campground ambassador sites located in all campgrounds
- ADA Carts will pick up from the booths, campgrounds ambassador sites, and when dispatched to a location.
ADA Hours of Operations

- Transportation could pause after the race, to allow foot traffic to clear.

The track is now cashless! (Merchandise, Concessions, Box Office, etc.)
There are NO ATMs at the track.
RENTALS MUST BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE ONLINE, NO WALK-UPS WILL BE ALLOWED.
As a direct result of fan feedback, frontstretch seating at Michigan International Speedway continues to be smoke free, including electronic cigarettes and vapes. We provide designated smoking areas throughout the property where our fans who smoke may continue to do so. These locations are clearly marked with signage. Please see a Fan Crew member or Security officer for assistance with directions to the nearest designated smoking area.

*Fans may exchange tickets for any NASCAR event with the exception of the Daytona 500 and NASCAR Cup Series Championship event at Phoenix Raceway. Only tickets for the Daytona 500 or NASCAR Cup Series Championship event may exchange for the same event the following year. I.e. If the Daytona 500 is postponed, Daytona 500 ticketholders may exchange their tickets for any participating event or the following year’s Daytona 500.
Nothing. The protection is free for all customers with a paid regular NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Cup Series grandstand ticket at any of the 12 NASCAR venues listed.
NASCAR’S Ticket Refund Coverage is available during the purchase process for customers when ordering their tickets. This refund coverage is NASCAR’S promise to their fans to protect their purchase with an Enhanced Refund Protection Purchase!
Eligible regular grandstand tickets may be exchanged for any future NASCAR race at a participating venue within one (1) year of the original event date or for the same race the following year, excluding the Daytona 500 and NASCAR Cup Series Championship event at Phoenix Raceway. Only current Daytona 500 tickets can be redeemed for the next year’s Daytona 500 as well as NASCAR Cup Series Championship for the same event the next year. Eligible tickets must be redeemed within 60 days of completion of the postponed event. If eligible regular grandstand tickets are not redeemed during the allotted timeframe set forth, the exchange opportunity will expire.
Only regular grandstand tickets purchased directly from a participating venue are eligible for an exchange under this policy. Complimentary regular grandstand tickets are not eligible for exchange under this policy. Restrictions also apply to corporate tickets and other special purchase situations. Patrons should contact the track ticket office after the postponed event has been completed with questions regarding eligibility.
Any eligible unused regular grandstand ticket(s) for the rescheduled event date may be redeemed. Complete the request form below or contact the track ticket office to inquire about the eligibility of your grandstand ticket(s).
The Weather Protection Program only covers regular grandstand tickets.
No. Cash refunds will not be issued. This policy allows regular grandstand tickets to be exchanged for future NASCAR races at any venue listed.
The Weather Protection Program only applies if a race event is postponed and moved to a date other than the originally scheduled date. Delayed races regardless of the length of delay are not eligible, including if the event completes after 11:59 p.m.
The Weather Protection Program will not apply to races that were shortened due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances where the event is counted as official by the appropriate sanctioning body.
Tickets purchased through any channel other than the main track ticket office are not covered under the Weather Protection Program. Only regular grandstand tickets for a postponed NASCAR event purchased directly from the track are eligible for an exchange under this policy.
CAMPGROUND RULES
Campground Policy Reminders (per State of Michigan):
- Limit of one steering wheel per campsite and all camping units must be at least 4′ apart and 4’ around each camping unit
- Tent and awning stakes must be marked
- Fire lanes must remain open at all times
- No parking within 50 feet of water stations
- Limit 8 people per campsite
Please be prepared for enhanced vehicle and person searches which may include K-9 units.
IF YOU ARE BRINGING A GENERATOR, PLEASE SEE OUR GENERATOR POLICY.
PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL:
- All campsites are sold on a reserved basis
- Please be sure campsite passes are displayed in your window upon arrival and remain visible throughout your stay
MIS POLITELY ASKS THAT:
- Tent and awning stakes are marked
- Reflectors are on bicycles
- Fire lanes remain open
- Fires are a minimum of 10 feet from any vehicle or structure. Fires must be off the ground in a contained fire ring/pit.
- Parking is a minimum of 50 feet away from water stations
- The speed limit is 10 mph
MIS POLITELY ASKS ALL GUESTS TO REFRAIN FROM:
- Excessive noise
- Offensive signs, drunkenness, and profanity
- Activities that disturb the rights of other campers
- Interfering with and/or obstructing track officials or security
- Vending without an MIS vendor permit
- Displays of the confederate flag will not be allowed.
QUIET HOURS:
- INFIELD: Sections 1-2: 12 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. | Section 5: 12:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. | Sections 3, 4 & 6: 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- There will be no access to the Fanzone until Friday, August 16.
- Gate 40a and the tunnel walkway will be closed until Wednesday, August 14
- APEX: 1:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- ALL OTHER CAMPGROUNDS: 12:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
If you or members of your group are removed from the camping facilities by track security for violation of any speedway rule, vehicles may be removed at the owner's expense and forfeiture of future camping at MIS.
ALCOHOL PURCHASES AT MIS: All guests will be required to present a valid, U.S. or Canadian government-issued ID along with a 21 and over wristband for all alcohol purchases. Wristbands will be issued free of charge, with the presentation of a valid ID at all concession and club locations.

- Michigan International Speedway (“Track”) strictly prohibits the use of any unmanned aerial vehicles (“UAV”), also known as a drone, for any purpose whatsoever on Track Property. A UAV for purposes of this policy is any aircraft without a human pilot aboard. Track personnel may remove anyone using a UAV on Track Property and/or confiscate the UAV until the event is over.

- For those guests with generators that do not have an exhaust system venting up or an exhaust muffler we ask that you adhere to generator quiet hours from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. During quiet hours we politely ask that you do not run your generator. Failure to adhere to quiet hours may result in a request to leave property.
Motorcycles are welcome in the campgrounds
MIS ASKS YOU PLEASE REFRAIN FROM:
- Cruising around the campgrounds Revving of engines
- Operating motorcycles before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m.
Motorcycles with trailers should fit on your campsite, if you require additional space, please see security personnel to be directed to an overnight parking location.
MIS politely asks that:
- DOG(s) are limited to two (2) per site
- DOG(s) are not left unattended outside at any time
- DOG(s) are kept on a leash at all times
- DOG(s) are welcome to take walks around your campground on a leash 6ft’ or shorter
- DOG(s) do not infringe on other sites occupied or vacant
- DOG(s) refrains from excessive barking
- DOG(s) owners are courteous and clean up after dog(s) in all areas of the campground
- DOG(s) enjoy some R&R in the camper while you are attending event(s) as they are not able to enter any admission gate or stroll in the fan plaza
- DOG(s) shot record papers are available should track personnel need to review them
Michigan International Speedway is committed to creating a safe, comfortable and memorable experience for all guests. We want all guests to enjoy the experience in a responsible fashion.
While at MIS please refrain from the following behaviors:
- Behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal
- Intoxication or other signs of alcohol impairment that results in irresponsible behavior
- Foul, abusive or obscene language, gestures, acts, signs, music or clothing
- Verbal or physical harassment of other guests
- Throwing of any objects onto the racing surface
- Fighting, taunting or threatening remarks or gestures
- Failing to follow the instructions of MIS personnel
Guests are responsible for their conduct as well as the conduct of their guests while at MIS. MIS staff will promptly intervene to support an environment where guests and others can enjoy the event free from the above behavior. Guests who violate these provisions may be subject to ejection without refund, possible loss of ticket/camping privileges for future events and/or arrest.
